The ruined watchtower overlooks the long beach of Torre Mozza, with fine sand, lapped by a crystal-clear sea.

A few kilometres from the southernmost point of Santa Maria di Leuca, along the Ugento coastline, Torre Mozza boasts the 3 Vele (flag awarded to the most beautiful beaches) from Legambiente. The name of this location refers to the shape of the ancient ruined tower on the sea, which is cut off.

The long white beach stretches for kilometres. The fine sandy shoreline plunges slowly into the crystal-clear water, perfect for children to play safely.

There are private and public beaches and tourist resorts, while behind them a series of sand dunes, covered with the fragrant plants typical of the Mediterranean maquis, divide the shoreline from the country road and the waterfront construction

THE BOATS

These are fibreglass boats, some of them with a wooden finish, equipped with diesel and petrol engines. The stability of the hull and the reliability of the engines make sailing a pleasure. Their length varies from 6.5 m (40 hp motorised) to 9 m (250 hp motorised) and they are complete with: cushions, awning, ladder and safety equipment for navigation within 1 mile of the coast. You can choose between: a fibreglass boat for comfortable and quiet sailing, a fibreglass boat with a wooden finish that combines elegance, comfort and performance (25 knots speed).
